Monthly Gardening Assistance & Presentations; Native Plant Sensory; Flower Arranging and previous presentation on Herbs

Vice President, Carol Wells, has been working with Oakmont's Director to establish a regular time for the Garden Club to help in their raised garden beds; teaching, advising, working alongside and providing what they need. Additional plans are underway for interactive craft activities.

Previously Members Georgette and Carol gave an Herb Sensory Presentation, including sights, smells, textures of fragrant herbs, including basil, mint, dill, chives, parsley, cilantro and rosemary. They also included fragrances of citrus, lavender and cinnamon as they wove herbal properties with folklore and memories. Their presentation was accompanied with taste sensory which included potato chips and chive dip; rosemary focaccia bread; cinnamon apple popcorn crisps; lemonade and mint chocolates. As you can imagine, the residents loved it!!
