To promote an interest in horticulture, gardening, landscape, floral design, pollinators, birds, and aquatic life; to develop an appreciation of the natural beauty of California; to encourage civic beautification; to assist in preservation and conservation of our natural resources.
Founded in 1926 by a group of twelve civic minded women, the Stockton Garden Club is one of the oldest garden clubs in California. Throughout our history we have donated thousands of dollars to reforestation through the Penny Pines program. We have been active in community gardens throughout Stockton. We have sponsored three Blue Star Memorial Byway markers in our city. We have awarded scholarships to horticulture students. We are part of the Valley Lode District, California Garden Clubs, Inc., and National Garden Clubs, Inc.
