Habitat Garden
Our President's Project for 2021-2023 is to create a habitat garden. We obtained a 28'x75' parcel and will plant California Native plants and nectar sources to help our struggling pollinators. We also plan to have a water source, a brush pile, a rock pile, and a puddling area. Not only will we be providing food and shelter for insects and birds, but we will be using less water, and educating the public on lawn-free gardening options. Join us as we make our journey towards a more sustainable landscape and a "Homegrown National Park".

A local high school student has created a solar powered pond to provide water for wildlife. It
quickly attracted mosquitoes, so now we have mosquito fish (free) from San Joaquin County.

These native plants have already been planted: Epilobium canum, Heuchera,
Ceanothus, Eriogonum latifolium, Asclepias fascicularis, Achillea millefolium,
Echinacea purpurea, Lupinus albifrons, Ribes sanguineum, Monardella villosa,
Asclepias speciosa, and Woodwardia fimbriata.
